BARBARA DILLEY, B.A., Mt. Holyoke College, ‘60, trained  and performed dance in New York City (1960-1975) with  Merce Cunningham Dance Co., Yvonne Rainer, and the Grand  Union. In 1971 she founded Natural History of the American  Dancer, Vol.12-24, a collaborative ensemble using structured  improvisation. She taught at Naropa Institute (now  University), Boulder, Co. in the summer, 1974 and was  invited to design the Dance/Movement Studies Program,  then served as President (1985-1993). She returned to the  classroom in 1994, and retired in 2015. This Very Moment ~  teaching thinking dancing, her memoir and teaching manual,  was published by Naropa University Press in 2015. She has two son’s, Benjamin Llyod and Owen Bondurant.
